Built around the three ways a sign-in sheet fails
Most sheets lose leads to the same three failures: too many required fields, rows too small to read, and no reason to sign printed anywhere on the page. Each layout here is shaped against those failures. Few required fields, big rows, and a one-line privacy note at the bottom. The sign-in sheet guide explains the reasoning behind every column if you want the full version.
Print settings that keep it readable
Print at 100 percent on US Letter in landscape. Do not let your printer shrink it to fit, because that is what crushes the rows. If you expect more than about eight visitors, raise the row count or print a second copy. Handwriting you cannot read is the same as a lead you never captured.
When the sheet has done all it can
Paper works at moderate traffic if you print enough sheets and re-type the leads the same day. The moment unreadable handwriting, skipped fields, or the Monday re-typing job start costing you follow-ups, a digital sign-in that captures cleanly and hands leads straight to your CRM is the honest next step.
